More of a pest than a real threat to adventurers, the Pseudo or False Demon is a mundane creature of little real power; it's
perceived threat lies in that it appears to be a diabolic creature from the Abyss. It is in fact found solely on the Prime Material Plane.
The Pseudodemon's appearance is that of a muscular humanoid with curved, wicked looking black horns, clawed hands and great black bat wings (although it cannot fly). It also exudes the stench of brimstone.
The Pseudodemon uses it's appearance to intimidate and strike fear into the hearts of it's victims, as well as dominate lesser creatures to do it's bidding. The creature is unaffected by spells such as Holy Word, Holy Symbols and the like. Once revealed to be a fraud, the creatures will usually flee as they tend towards cowardice.
