Little is known of the strange beings which call themselves "Qibban". A few sages have speculated that the name may be racial, it may be the surname of a clan of them, or it may be a single name that they identify themselves by or indeed all of these things.

What is known is that the Qibban's true form has never been seen. They wear strange, bright armor at all times and wield a mighty glowing sword. The sole function of the Qibban seems to be the destruction of all evil, wherever it may be found. Chaotic, Neutral or Lawful, they will launch themselves with suicidal fury at whatever evil creature they encounter on any plane or any world.

The only mention of the Qibban is in ancient scrolls which hint that they were created by a dying God to battle the forces of evil which were overtaking and consuming an entire manifestation of reality on the Prime Material Plane.

Whatever their origin, they show no mercy, no quarter and no fear.

Qibban have an "always on" Detect Evil ability which extends to a 200' range, omni directionally. They are never surprised by evil creatures, all Fear or Charm based attacks from evil creatures are ignored, and they can apparently fight in magical darkness (as generated by a Type VI Demon, for example) with no disadvantage at all. Finally, Qibban can continue to fight to the point of being at -10 hit points until they drop. When this happens, the force that is the Qibban departs to places or planes unknown, leaving a suit of strangely engraved but otherwise totally unremarkable armor behind. The sword they wield disappears as well.

The language spoken by the Qibban is nigh impossible to translate; all magic devoted to that task only has a 10% chance of working, and even then 1-6 weeks must be spent speaking with the Qibban to gain more than a basic syntax.

Qibban require no rest, food, or drink and rarely express any emotion beyond satisfaction that an evil creature has been slain.
